The magic of black always intrigued me....this interplay of black and white always stood for strength and power. These lifelike illustrations with the use of ink are more pronounced on paper than any other form I believe. Freedom of expression is what I desire and my illustrations help me seek just that
My process is quite simple: I choose and photograph the subject, draw the outlines in pencil and then meticulously reproduce it with thin technical black ink pens on rough grain paper, laying layers of ink in a repeating pattern of little circles. The result is a refined artwork with a strong individuality, both hyperrealistic and vibrant in a unique way.
